Welcome to The forum. I wish I could help you, I'm sure someone who is more familiar with your truck will be able to chime in and figure out your problem you're at the right place!
Hey new to forums and I have not found a lot of information on my problem. I have a 2013 Dodge Ram 5.7 Outdoorsman 4x4. My cam lobe wore out as is common with these engines so I replaced it with a stage 2 non mds comp cam. Lifters, pushrods, springs all changed as well. MDS block off plugs. I made a rookie mistake and hooked battery back up during install for the hood light and ended up sparking while working on the truck. fusible links did blow. Replaced the fusible link and finished putting the truck back together. Moved the truck out of shop area to make room for my wife's car. Truck did drive but appeared to be in limp mode as well as rough idle with engine dying if I slowed down while in gear. The P0016 and P000B codes were showing. I did some research and may have come to the wrong conclusion. I was under the impression that these codes would be here until my custom tune came in due to the cam being larger. I jack the rear of my truck up to level transmission pan with intention of changing trans filter and fluid while I waited on the custom tune. New to this whole process I now realize this was bad idea without the tune. During the final steps of pumping the transmission fluid in where you shift into Reverse, neutral, and Drive (into 2nd Gear) the engine stalled out. Significant amount of transmission fluid poured out before i could get back to fill plug and put it in. I put the trans fluid/filter change on hold until tune comes in. Fast forward 2 weeks the tune came in and installed the tune. The engine idled much better and revved up fine in park and neutral only. If truck is in Reverse or Drive there is no response from gas pedal at all. The truck will idle with tires spinning from the idle but it will not move up one single rmp with gas pedal to floor. I ran codes and the only codes I have the P0016, P000B, and P1915. I tried to do trouble shooting on my own with the gas pedal not working. It appears the P1915 pops up when I go from Drive or Reverse to Park. Occasionally it will stall when i try to do this and die. It seems the P1915 code happens then but i could be wrong. It really has me confused at this point. I could have missed timing by 1 tooth but that wouldn't explain the gas pedal problem unless its a fail safe mode. The transmission fluid will still come out of fill plug so there should be enough in there for me to at least go through rest of process to fill it. I removed the custom tune and went back to factory pcm settings and problem is still there. I cant remember if gas pedal worked when i tried to change transmission fluid. The truck stalled out as soon as i went into reverse and pressed gas so most likely this problem happened prior to tune. I went out on a limb for the P0016 and P000B code and pulled the Camshaft position sensor to test it. I have 5v on yellow wire, ground appears to work fine but the cmp signal wire only has 3volts instead of the 4.8 to 5.2 it should. This should be throwing a P0340 code. I dont want to throw random parts at it but is it possible the PCM has been damaged and would that cause it not to throw codes in some instances? Alot of information I know but I can generally solve most of my problems with a repair manual and time. I'm at a loss on this problem though.
