I cant make up my mind!!! I am torn between the 2006 2500 5.7L V8 SMPI quad cab with only 5,187 miles on it for $23,000 and the 2006 1500 5.7L V8 SFI Hemi with only 24,417 miles on it. I love both of the trucks but i can obviously only buy one of them. My best friend has an 03 1500 Hemi and he loves it. I have drove it a few times and i really liked it. So what is the difference between the two? I am interested in hearing all of your opinions about this very hard decision.... I will be making my purchase in the next few days so i will be checking the site like crazy i'm sure.. thanks in advance....

Well the 06 2500 QC is a 3/4ton more towing and seating. The other is 1/2 ton without the extra seating. I would get the 2500 QC if you tote alot of personal and tote a lot of stuff.

1st of all
2nd of all do you haul alot in your bed meaning why would you need a 2500.If your just looking on useing the truck for honey-do things then I would get the 1500. I'm sure the mpg is better in the 1500.IMO

The 1500 is a 1/2ton, and the 2500 is a 3/4. You will have more hauling/towing capacity,.. lifting it is easier with it having a solid front axle.

If you are into doing a little street fun, stick with the 1500,.. the 2500 will cost more for fuel being heavier.

Are they both 4x4? If the 1500 is a 4x4,. take it for a test drive, stop and put it in 4hi, then put the pedal to the floor,.. if it has a shimmy/vibration,.. don't purchase it.

If you need the 2500 for hauling then that's the one to get especially if its a manual trans.. more power to the rear wheels kinda helps make up for the weight difference and helps with fuel economy..if not the 1500 is a very capable truck as well.

Welcome RamFan!
Wish you had pictures..... I all depends on how you plan on using it. If you don't haul or carry a lot of people go with the 1500. IMHO
