It was time to change out the air filter that was on the 05 when I bought it. Never really liked this type of air filter system.

Ground down the spot weld lips to get the clearance. Just have to add some stitch welds to strengthen it back up again.

Nice
It would fit under the hood using the 3.25" plenum intercooler. $1300. plus fabrication to the cowl.
Though I would be the first to have a 05, turbo 392 Hemi, intercooled Hi-Ram with a/c street truck...
Don't forget "ON STREET TIRES". ha ha
Been busy at work but, did get a little bit done.

The intercooler makes the hi-ram sit tall. Fits under the hood though.

Just have to change the afr gauge out, inspect the spark plugs and she's ready for street tuning. Going to give Dave at B&G Performance a call today to set things up.

Changing out the Accel 80lb injectors (straight stream spray) to Deatsch Werks 71lb @ 58psif injectors (cone atomizing spray). Dave at B&G Performance will be making the tune adjustments. Had to modify the fuel rail for clearance since they are shorter than the 80lb injectors.

The tuning with Dave (B&G Performance) is going well. Should have put those 71lb/hr DeatschWerks injectors in a long time ago. The Accel 80lb/hr injectors and the 90mm BBK throttle body is what was causing the street tuning problems. Mainly the injectors... The 392 is running smoother, better gas mileage, and running stronger than ever before. We haven't even started data logging yet. He only had to make small adjustments (injector size) to the tune so far. The top-end pull's strong with around the same 7psi boost. The Holley Hi-Ram is definitely helping there.

Well, spoke too soon on the DiabloSport Predator tuning with Dave (B&G). With every tune adjustment. Something gets better and some other thing(s) gets worse. Presently, running lean on aggressive street driving "not in boost" (14.0 to 14.6). 2/3 & 3/4 part throttle boosting @ 7psi (14.0 to 14.6). But, wot @ 7psi boost. The afr's look ok and it feels faster than it ever has been before. Much better gas mileage as well...
Think there can only be a happy medium with the DiabloSport Predator tuning. To get everything tuned as it should be. Most likely will have to go to a different type of tuning system. Maybe, HP Tuners.

Now we're starting to get somewhere. The tune had to be reconfigured. The engine is running better overall so far. Still a little lean on part throttle boost. Drives great on the street. The throttle has been set to be a little touchy but, I like it that way. Gas mileage on around the town driving is surprisingly good for how the engine is built with 3000rpm stall tc. Not so much while boosting... :D

Well, Dave can't get the part throttle and the part throttle boost afr's where they should be. It's running 14.0-14.6 in those throttle positions. Everything feels like its running great when driving the truck. Until when you look at the afr's in those throttle positions. Wot afr's look good and the truck hauls a$$. Cruising afr's look good and it get's a little better gas mileage than the 03 does stock. Dave is trying various tune adjustments to see what will work and wont work on the 05 pcm.

Was thinking of sending Dave the STS tune from the 03. Since that was the only tune that has worked in the 03. Maybe, he can build a tune like the STS tune in the 05. It had great part throttle and street driving. No part throttle boosting but, made up for that at wot boosting.

He won’t be able to get part throttle boost to richen I have tried every thing there is to make it kick rich. Issue is when it does kick rich for the boost it also says here have all the throttle lol.
So, the 05 pcm isn't as tune-able as some people have said. The TRUTH comes out...

Dave wasn't able to fix/complete the tune. It only has light throttle cruising with good gas mileage and wot at full boost. The truck really moves at wot. I'm sure it's faster than it ever has been before.
Truth has always been out that’s been known as the light switch. It’s can be lessened but never gone on the rams. There is something diff in the files with all the data correlation that the cars just don’t have this issue with
Get the motor in and get the fuel system setup the way it will be for boost let’s NA tune the thing in real nice then you can add the turbo whenever and we do a retune for boost with a little tweaking here and there to the NA side of it and you will be golden
Hummm....
No Stu don't switch to a car pcm
