Just got it and tuned it to the 87 octane setting.. I have a few questions, I have the stock 20's and cant remember the tire size, can someone pleae let me know that.. Also what are good tranny shift points, I want them to shift like 2500rpms or lower, I did the tune and they are shifting higher than stock, I am wanting the most gas mileage i can get and man it did make a diff in the power on the one time i hammered it..

UPDATE..

I reprogrammed it to the limits on the 1-2 and 3-4 shifts and the throttle response is a lot better now and seemed to make it a lot powerful, but like isaid im more interested in getting better gas mileage, getting 16.8mpg with 20's now.. Is there anything else I should do or can do?

Thanks

05HEMIKEV,
Have you try checking with DCT, they can tell you what you can do to gain or keep your gas mileage. I lost my gas mileage after I updated my 87 tune, but mine has MDS therefore I should not see gas mileage drop from 22 plus to 17 after the update....if that is the case I rather not have the tune....I am not sure why my gas mileage dropped after 87 tune update with shift points, waiting for DCT to reply on that.

I sure like the tunes, especially 91 tune but with such high gas prices I am force to stay with 87 tune.

I have the stock 20's with the stock tires. 275/60 R20 and the tire size calculators will tell you they are 33 inches tall. But the first time you use your Flashpaq it defaults to what the factory set for your factory tires. I'd bet your Flaspaq is telling you 31.75 and not 33. Just leave that part alone. If you set tire height to 33 your speedometer will read too high. I know from experience.

What happened. Did the Blue Flashing light come on?
I'm pretty sure I have mine set for 33.
Whats the reasonong for the 31.75?
Closer to actaul speed?

I've always heard that DCX uses the actual measured height of the tire on the vehicle. When I set mine to 33 my speedo read too high. I verified that first from the mile markers on the highway. Then had another vehicle pace me at different speeds and sure enough my speedo was reading too high. Went back to 31.75 (which is Flashpaq told me in the first place) and my speedo was ok again. I know it sounds weird, but that's the way DCX did it.

The Superchips folks will tell you that too. When you change tire heights you have to measure the height on the truck and use that figure. By now I need to measure one of my back tires and see how tall it is. I've worn quite a bit of rubber off in 21,000 miles.

Look at what Ron at Superchips said:

That didn't work here. I have 285/50/20's and measured 31.25. My speedo was off by 3-4 MPH at that setting. I used my GPS (which was dead on with my other vehicle) to calibrate the setting and finally settled in at 30.50. I was dead on. I don't think SC's tire size feature works too well.

You can't use the tire size to calculate the height

What you need and what the dealers use is the manufacturers REVS PER MILE data
Most of the tire warehouse sites etc have a section for manfacturers specs and it usually has the REVS PER MILE

Using the REVS PER MILE data you can calculate height (diameter)
It agrees bang on with the measured height ( at least it did on my 265/50/20s )and agrees with what SC has listed from the stock tune

5280 feet in a mile
X 12 = 63,630 inches in a mile

Divide that by REVS per Mile (manufacturer' data )and you get

inches per revolution or circumference

divide that by 3.1416 (PI ) and you get the diameter or height in inches
