Started breaking ground tonight for a brand new shop. It will be 48' x 60' when it is finished, and the barn in the pics will be torn down (thing is about to fall in anyway)

·I am hoping to have the grand opening next spring. Depends on business of course. Just so you guys know, pretty much every dollar I have cleared from the last month and probably for the remainder of the year is going to be going into this shop. May do a small mod here or there, but the truck is going to be what it is for now. I have been wanting to get this shop built since I moved out here (one reason I moved to this location), and now I finally got to a position where I can start on it. Most of the work will be being done by yours truly. Some things I can not do, like lay blocks and smooth concrete, and it is a lot cheaper to buy trusses than build them, but for the most part I will be doing all the rest of it - plumbing, electricity, building the walls, installing the windows, doors, etc, etc. I will even be doing the roofing barring any accidents....

Only downside is that the bank is not helping me in anyway. This is strictly out of pocket, and this will show you guys exactly what your hard earned money that you spend with me is going to. I am really hoping to make this into a shop to be proud of, and that I can host GTG's and car shows and stuff like that. Glad you guys like the concept, and I appreciate the support.

Mick, I don't know if you know anything about MO, but Springfield is about 4-5 hours from me depending on traffic. And you are welcome to come over and hang out anytime. Whether the shop is finished or not. When are you guys going to be in Springfield for good?

·I think the 5.5 acres I have out here should be plenty of parking space....

keep us posted with pics on how the shop is coming together. Cant wait till the Grand hemi opening! Beer, Whemi's and Hemi's what more can you ask for in life? (cheap gas) paid 2.49 gal

·Well, just got the concrete for the footing poured today! Man, was that some work. 'bout passed out in this 100+ heat index we have here today...Got the septic tank buried, and the drain line. Next is to install the line from the shop to the septic tank, and then concrete block time...I will post some pics later. Couldn't find the camera when the concrete guys were here, and I was working really hard trying to level it all out before it set up anyway, so I didn't have time to get any pics of the pour...
