I have 3 issues that I cant fumble my way around, and looking around HPT, I cant find a workable solution, so I'm hoping maybe I'm just dumb, and you all can set me straight. !st, I have a MIL, but no codes, I cant find a reason behind it. 2nd, sometimes I flash it, and the O2's throw codes for the heaters, and other times they don't. Again, I have know idea whats doing that. And 3rd, and most aggravating, I cannot get the AEM wide band to stay on the scanner, it disappears as soon as I connect to the truck. My setup is serial cable from the blue wire, and ground, to the db-9 and then through a USB adapter. 5 is the blue, and 2 is ground, that's how i understand it to connect. My laptop also has a serial input, but it doesn't connect that way either. Any input is greatly appreciated, I'm about ready to part this bitch.

I found a drawing I made when I was connecting my aem.

What year O2s are you using? I had a used pair of 06 sensors laying around and used them. The rears are plugged in and have always been turned off in the tune. No issues with the setup. As for connecting the wband AEM, black is ground. Signal is white (aem) cable, connected to vcm red wire..

it's all above my intelligence level but subbing for answers.....LOL

I'm afraid I'm of no help.. I was able to connect the anolog 0-5v AEM output to my MPVI2 using the provided cable. But flipping it to digital and using another port no clue..

Unless you have the ability to connect a 0-5v anolog signal to your computer and then identify it in the VCM program I don't see another splution..

I'm tending to agree. I am not that computer literate. I should have paid more attention in school, and less attention to the girls. Of course, my first computer lessons were on an Apple IIe lol.
I was laughing with my neighbor's kid yesterday about how his digital watch has more computing power than my commodore 64 ....

Story time: about 10 years ago I got home from an extended stay overseas and jumped on my VTX and took off. I was wearing an old hemet I hadn't worn for a year or so and could feel the strap flapping against my neck. I finally stopped to fix the damn strap only to fined out it wasn't a strap...
