I’d say it depends on how much money you want to spend. Complete 6.1 blocks are hard to find and very exspensive. Around $1500 just for a bare block. I’ve picked up complete 5.7 engines for $200-$400. If you drive your 545 fairly conservatively I think you have a shot of it lasting for awhile, mine lasted for 5 months and was still strong when I pulled it out. You can also try to get a 6.4 Hemi crank with alittle machine work, it comes out to around 360-370 ci. Inertia Motorsports sells a kit like that. He called it a “poor mans stroker kit”, around $2200 for a crank, forged rods and pistons and rings. Stu said that makes a very strong engine that can handle a good bit of power if you decide to add boost or nitrous. For a cam choice I think a custom grind would be better then an off the shelf cam

I'll be honest I just glanced thru this, so if these answers are in the previous post just smile and nod.
1) do you have a 6.1 Short block?
2) do you have the Eddy heads?
3) 450Hp at the crank is your Goal?
4) budget?
5) What type of Dodge, I think I saw some where in my hast glance 4x2QC ? I know you said it was an 03, so your already looking at the PCM swap(that's more of a rhetorical question)

We(all these gear headed Minds @ HTC) can get you 450 Hp out of your 5.7 without adding a hair dryer or Cubic inches,
But keep in mind , 345 CI(5.7l) can make 450 Hp but it's going to need to spin up in the 5K+ range, power band will move up from 1500-5300ish to 2500 to 6500ish.
you'll have to give up about 50Lbs TQ under 2500RPMS,now 4.56 gears will make up some of that lost TQ.
