Hello to all!

I had a 2006 ram 1500 that I bought new but due to the poor economy I lost it a few years back.
I have a used '04 ram 1500 with 75k miles and this truck just does not perform as well as the other. Is this normal due to year difference or is there something I can do to fix it? Thanks in advance.

Interesting reading. I enjoy all the thoughts and musings you blokes engage in.

If the internet did'nt exist, owning a ram in my part of the world would be a frightening experience due to the lack of information available here.

That's part of what HTC is all about. Real info and help in a timely fashion. Together we accomplish far more than we can with all of us striving on our own. That's the name of the game.

Well I finally cleaned the t-body and pcv ports and changed the pcv valve, got a little more bottom end but not enough so I went and had a 3" cat back exhaust with a magnaflow muffler. not much help, but sounds different, maybe a programmer is in the future??? Thanks for your suggestions!

Final ratio makes a 'day 'n night' difference (along with the previous mentioned tire size and weight). If the '06 had a final ratio of 3:92s or if a set of stump-puller 4:56s figures into all of this (gray area history of both trucks?) and the 04 came with 3:55...Hmmmm?...Well, that will make a difference in your giddy-up.

Warning: the higher the number in the final ratio is likely to place a pinch on your mileage!

Yep 392's w/20's on the '06, 355's w/17's on the '04...would that make that big of difference?
