Ok all these trains are basically the same internally design wise. The 47/48 have a stronger planetary set in them but it is interchangeable into the 518/46 models. I have a 518 that I am tearing down now for a rebuild. The trains as of rite now needs a front planetary it is aluminum and only 4 pin design that's not going to work for me upgrading to steel 5 pin set. The rear planetary I cannot get to yet as there is what they call an 800lb spring that requires a press to get out. This is not a step that in anyway can be or should be done without a press it can kill you! Look at this thing

Ok well two weeks down, a track day (kinda blah but prove a point) and around 30+ street pulls for testing and what not and not a single issue! I still have a tad of overlap on the 2-3 when warmed up soon to be gone next week when I swap the rod to the 4.2 billet one. 35-3800 converter coming also this will get the trick off the line and moving also make the track times better! All in all for a roughly 700hp truck I am going to say the a518 is a success! Yes first time out it was not what we were expecting but the converter was the culprit there on the launch and the overlap doesn't help either. With new converter from "edgeracing" I will be back to how I was before running the same times as last time with the 545rfe!
I already have a swap I will be doing very soon to a 1500 lifted quad 4x4 here in psl that has blown 4 trans out of the truck in 3 months all Sharadon stage 3 builds too how ironic is that. I don't foresee any issue with the swap either

Your shake down run was a huge success in my book. It showed the strength of the transmission, something I've been demonstrating for two years. With the edge converter you will be faster than your previous times.

Can do. Only real diff will be the t case and shafts which should all bolt directly onto the trans also we will see
