It's smaller then the original. Andre told me all about it. LOL Honestly I don't remember everything he said. Yes it has THE BEST lock up clutch. What ever that is. He was all fired up and talking fast. I was happy it was on the way. He did call me today and asked if I was a happy guy. I said yes sir.
Then he said I dare you to brake it. LOL
I have to hand it to him for taking care of use.

sharadonper, that thing looks badass! Can't wait to see the results you get with it.

Sounds like you guys are getting a nice converter collection going over there
Lol FSTRK. Wonder if they can get some money back on the salvage metal??

Geez, I've been gone for a week and look what happens. Parts get here as promissed. Maybe I should go on vacation more often. lol The TCM, on this transmission, is harder to figure out than the PCM on the motor.

The tranny is back apart again. We broke and injured some hard parts this time, like the input shaft, ripped seals and destroyed bearings and the cresent shaped clutches. I'll get pic's up shortly after we sort out the mess. It's a wonder that the truck would still move under it's own power.

Any chance you damaged a bearing while assembling it? I did that on my first build and didn't realize it until I had to rebuild it again 1000mi later, oops... the input clutch assembly slipped while I was inserting it and dropped about an inch into the case and smashed a bearing, I didn't notice it at the time. Luckilly I had another full set of parts and overhaul kit for the next rebuild after that but still a pain in the ass, kicked myself on that one. It's been running great since the second rebuild

Live and learn... like the time I assembled the tranny and THEN noticed that the parking pawl arm wasn't installed into the case... which requires everything out to install. I just walked away from that one shaking my head.

Denny just finished rebuilding the tranny again today. To say the least, I was pretty impressed with his new mod's. With his new improvements, hopefully the high energy clutches will stand up to the task.

The only thing I have is the AutoXray that hemifever lent me and the LM-1 I use for tuning, lol.

I did not know I needed a special tool. Am I going to have to take it to the dealer.

I think that most of us just drive it until it learns the new CVI/shift data. If you get to know somebody at the dealership service department they might do the quick learn for you, otherwise good luck explaining what you need to the service writers.

Brian, We're trying something new with the tranny. All I can tell you is that it involves modifying the case. If this new mod doesn't work out, I'll be getting one of your cases from you. lol This is going to be a make or break mod. Either we come out like hero's, or we're going down in a ball of flames. Denny got the tranny installed in the truck today. We would have loved to fire it up and take it for a test drive, but we're still waiting for the modified MP1 intake. It should have been done weeks ago, but I should have it this week. Than all Denny has to do is the plumbing and the new fuel rails. In the mean time, Denny pulled the motor apart to check everything out. The pistons and bearings looked awesome. He reassembled the motor and we should be good to go for next year. We're planning on going to Texas and run the truck this next January to see the 11's as we expected this past year.
