i have a 2013 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi, i just recently purchased an i2010 tuner, had and issue or 2 but got past them, i finally got a tune in by going through the advanced menu, i programmed the 87 octane tune, and we drove about 30 miles. my throttle response in this truck has always felt sluggish and delayed, so i was hoping the tuner would help with this and i was hoping mds (eco mode) would be disabled but every time i let off the throttle eco comes on. i wanted to program throttle boost and disable eco mode by themselves but they are there but not highlighted to access. am i missing something?

When you go into the tuner to load a tune, the first step is to select which octane tune you want to run. The next screen will ask if you want to modify the tune. Click yes, and then scroll through the adjustable parameters until you find the throttle boost and MDS. Once you have made those adjustments, click load tune, and you are done.

Also, ECO and MDS are 2 different things. The ECO light will still come on even with the MDS turned off. The ECO light is just there to tell you that you are driving well to get the best mileage. If you turn MDS off with the tuner, then it will stay in 8 cylinders all the time, even when the ECO light is on.

Thanks for the info, is the mds and throttle boost already programmed into the files? Or do i have to select them?

Glad I found this thread!! I just bought an intune. I've been scared to try to tune my truck. But one question I do have. I'd like to see if there are any updates for it. I've been on the diablo web site, and cant find the year for my truck. How can I know if its up to date? I bought the tuner from a friend, so its used. BTW my truck 2013 R/T.

Hook it to the truck and load the 93 oct tune if it needs an update it will tell you. But if it loads and works don't worry about an update and enjoy.

Also side note I do custom tuning and can get a decent amount more power even over the Cannes tunes.

I tried my tuner earlier. Found out the guy I got it from didn't get it divorced from his previous truck!! Fortunately, I know the dealer, and the salesman that sold him his 15 ram, and they still have his trade in. Going up there tomorrow and get things straightened out. Then I'll try again.

I'm afraid you'll only be able to get a restore to stock tune from the trade in.
To release it from a vehicle (unless policy has changed) will require a $100 service fee from DiabloSport.

I'm confused. I cant plug into the truck he tuned with this, return it to stock, and get everything working right? If that's true, then once I tune mine, I can never go back to a stock tune. Clarify please.

Once you connect a new tuner to your truck, it will download your stock tune along with info. about your truck, like the VIN then you can load a canned (Pre Programmed tune) or a custom tune. You can also go back to stock. The issue will be if you decide to tune a different truck. You will have to have the tuner unmarried from your current truck which will require paying the manufacturer of your tuner a service fee usually around $100.00 - $150.00. This will allow you to marry the tuner to another vehicle. This must be done every time you want to tune another vehicle.

My Diablo can be used on different trucks as long as I unmarry it from the last truck it was used on. There is a fee to reset the tuner only if it is married to a vehicle I nolonger have and want to use it on another vehicle.
