I've officially pulled out the red folder!!! It's time for all HTC members and their family/guests to make plans for our 2016 rally.

"Hemis and the Alamo"
June 6-10, 2016
San Antonio, Texas

The hotel information is below. I'll start working on the details of activities but wanted to get things rolling.

Post up if you are attending, think you want to attend, have question or suggestions!! Let's make this a great rally!!

It is very simple to make reservations all your guests would need to do is:

Call the Hotel directly at (210) 495-5557
Tell us the date of arrival and departure
Mention that they are part of the "Hemi Truck Club" group in order to get the special rate.
Provide us with their information AND a Credit Card to guarantee the room.

The last day to make reservations under your Special Group rate is Friday May 20th, 2016.

Any additional adult after 2 adults per room there will be a charge of $10 extra a night.

The total estimated cost with taxes per night would be $85 + 16.75% Tax = $99.24 per night.

I tentatively have 15 rooms blocked: 8 king, 7 double queen, this can be changed however we need, it was just where I started.

Here is rough outline/tentative schedule. I am very open to ideas and suggestions!!

Monday: During the day Mexican Market Place, Double Decker City Tour vs. City Trolley Tour. Evening: Welcome dinner - I'm looking a County Line BBQ

Tuesday: Sea World

Wednesday: Explore San Antonio, River Walk, Towers of America, Ride the Rio, Alamo, Picnic

Thursday: Natural Caverns, Supper at Rita's on the River

Friday: Head home

You can go to www.visitsanantonio.com for lots more info and to get a free Visitor's Guide - I got mine and it's full of stuff to do!!! I'm open to any suggestions and input. Hope we can

I forgot a couple of things. Signing up as a maybe or very interested does not commit you to attend, it just gives us an idea of who might be there and as we closer a better idea. You add or delete you name at any time. Also, the hotel has a 48 hour cancellation notice so if you cancel up to 48 hours in advance you will not be charged for the room.

I will be there. I'm not sure which days yet. I'm taking a week of in July so I'm not sure how many days the bossman will let me take off. And to all the race fans San Antonio Raceway is pretty close. May be a GTG option.

We have our room booked for Sunday through Friday. Dalton is planning on attending with us again. He really enjoyed the last rally. Dalton is trying to talk us into letting him drive his Dodge Cummins. Keith and Becca started it......lol.

We're tentative on making it, about 50% sure we can go. Me, Liz and the two girls if we come. Might be mid-day Monday before we can get there. Google says about 17 hours drive time, will definitely take longer than that with an 11 month old and a 3.5 year old :lol:

Manual puller... if you guys want to you can drive down to us and we go ntogether. We plan on leaving Saturday and driving so far then stopping. It will be a lot on braxton. It says it is about 13 hours or so from us but that doesn't include stopping. But your welcome to stay at our place.

And jerry.... garry's son is planning on coming and he wants to drive his car... but at least Dayton drives a Dodge garry's son drives a Ford escort.....

Not a bad idea. I think we're looking at leaving Saturday too and cutting the trip up to half each day. It'll be a lot on our kiddos too.

We are a very tentative maybe.:hide: if that makes any sense. My Wife has a lot going on at work (part of which may be having to find a new job) So we want to go, but don't know what that whole thing will look like by June.

Either way, we would still need to fly in. Not going to use half of the week off in transit. :facepalm:
