I never got around to the airbox mod yet, but did remove the hemi hat and installed an airraid tube in the stock place, keeping the k&n drop-in in the stock filter box.

In the next couple of months, I plan on installing 2 Magnaflows, H-pipe, and dual exhaust, either out the side in front of the rear tire(s) or dump them under the truck. Question....should I run 3" exhaust? What Magnaflows did ya'll run?

Thanks,
SJ
There isn't much room under the truck, many use a 3" Y pipe and use a single in and dual 2-1/2 out. I like the long SS round Magnafow.

:iagree: with Redtruck-VA

I used a 3" MagnaFlow Y-pipe into a polished 3" SS MagnaFlow center to center SI/SO and 3" SS pipe straight out the back into a MagnaFlow dual tip (same look as SRT10).

:GoodLuck1:

That's the look I first went with back in 04, I liked it. I still have the SS Magnaflow tips in my shed. Brings a smile every time I see them.

And I did pick up both mileage and power going from Flowmaster to Magnaflow.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll look into those. You gained mpg and hp when you did yours, IIRC?

I can not verify but have only heard that if you run true 3" duals all the way out on a basically stock engine set-up that you will lose some low-end tq and power .

LOL I have all 3" pipe same as many others and two 2-1/2 pipes after the muffler I'm sure is bigger than a 3" . I'm calling that false.

Running true duals from engine back into and x or h pipe you will lose torque not sure why don't care why. Run 3" Y into 3" muffler and split it there into whatever you want and keep all the bottom end power and get the look you want.

I ran duals when I first got my truck and it was a dog put a Y in and good to go never looked back. Added Longtubes to that and never ever looked back even more bottom end was had. It's been tryed and proven run a Y for best results.

Did you remove your resonator?

I removed the resonator on mine...set up just as mentioned above by Charged 3 92with MagnaFlow Y, 3" Pipe into MagnaFlow muffler and 3" Pipe out the back...tuned to performance with the 3815 and haven't changed since '05 :thumb:.

Well, my exhaust work didn't happen due to a layoff. Still planning on it. Did get a 2" drop kit installed since it was a little cheaper and I got a new job. :) Here's a few pics!
