I ordered my cam and pushrods yesterday. Here's a list of what I have so far. Anything else yall think I should have on hand?

Parts I have:
BV Heads 2.02/1.57 PAC 1218 Springs
Head Gasket Set
Intake Gasket
Timing Cover Gasket
Head Bolts
Oil
Antifreeze

Parts Ordered:
210/218 .578/.573 113LSA 113ICL
Hardened Pushrods
6.1 Timing Set
Cam Bolt
Crank Bolt

Might as well replace oil pump with melling 10342 high pressure pump. You'll never have to replace it again if you do.

If it were me, I'd replace everything that can be replaced while it's open.

Lifters, oil pump, gaskets, timing set(double roller), intake manifold($300), rockers & shafts, spark plugs, wires, and all the bolts. Make sure to use plenty assembly lube, spare none.

As far as exhaust manifolds go. ARP makes a stud kit that I would highly recommend using. If you do, you'll never have a broke bolt in a head or a stripped hole.

I've got the Mellings pump with the 65psi spring installed and it does it's job with the gauge reading 65 at startup...

Sorry I left out lifters I have them as well. Can the oil pump be changed with motor in the truck. I've heard its a bitch. Have to lift engine or something to that effect. I also have new plugs and a 06+ coil conversion going on at the same time. I have stage8 header bolts and the Head Gasket Set comes with exhaust manifold Gaskets. Jay ordered the pushrods from Trend.

The pickup tube bolts to the pump so the pan needs to be dropped some if not removed. To remove the pan on a RWD needs to lift the motor a little. Yes, PIA...

David, yes it comes with two springs.

When you go to prime your engine you can use this Harbor Frieght pump which was under $20.

The oil pump bolt can be removed without letting pan down. It takes a careful hand and a little trickery but can be done. If you want a little more security loosen all pan bolts and leave windage tray stuck to eng and then when done just tighten all back up

My magic has been been on the weak side for a long time......
