I know it's late guys and gals but get your entries in for truck of the month for September.
Just bumping the thread to remind people to vote for TOTMTwo really nice looking trucks here want your vote of approval! :thumb:
It's a load, that's for sure! You should feel the frame twist from the seat! :brows: Probably why it's eaten 3 universal joints on the back end of the driveshaft  .....I've got a lead on a pair of springs from a '15 Ram 5500 along with shocks and hardware including the mounts and shackle for $400 that might help the problem out :thumb: They were taken off a new cab and chassis bound for ambulance service that they opted to put air springs onWow is that going to be a bars test for sure lol the rear practically jumped off the floor after the pull. Does the axle take any abuse doom that? Looks like it wraps a decent amount for sure.
Length is right, they are 5'0" sitting on the ground and mine are 5'3" on the truck. They lengthen some(bushing to bushing straight line) with weight. Just waiting for the seller to measure the width of the springs and the thickness of the spring pack.....I can make a modified shackle and front mount, I think, if they are in fact wider. Information like that on new '15 trucks is thin on the web....Yes bigger springs will help if they fit I think they are wider and longer though. They too I'm sure will wrap with as much weight as your pulling lol. I still can't get over that hop at the end. That's a sure sign of something twisting up
It is definitely wrapping but most of the hop is just from the sled weighing so much. The chain is short, almost a 45* angle, so it really pulls down. Making a pass the rear is almost 3" lower than the front where as sitting static it is 2" higher. That 5" of spring travel is where most of that hop comes from when I push in the clutch.I still can't get over that hop at the end. That's a sure sign of something twisting up
