Hp and the 545rfe will require a driving habit change for sure to make the factory trans last as long as possible. Once it goes south whenever that may be a red alto rebuild or a perf trans will be sug and then the driving habit change will still be in effect.

Main things to keep in mind no 45mph wot runs that usually ends up in a prime gear and don't go wot into 4/5 ever they will smoke out. I have been thru 12 melted trans granted I am on big hp but non the less the habits were the issue

Yes mopar performance is a lot more expensive than Chevy or Fords :( but I still love mopars. I had a guy come buy my job... he looked at my truck and asked what all I have done to it. I told him and he then pull out a photo book of his vehicle he had done performance mods to. He said I have done one Mopar and will never do one again because of the cost of performance parts. :) I laughed and said yeah it does cost :)

I have 3 of them and looking for a forth for son project vehicle. They are easily twice as much to mod but its worth it to me.

I purchased my 6.1 pushrods and springs from moparsupercenter for $86.19 before shipping. I do not remember how much the shipping ran me. Depending on shipping that price seems ok.

That price seems the norm. As for springs/rods, I've read where people say that before cam swap they had the infamous "hemi tick" then after the 6.1 rods the tic became more noticeable. I had the tic an it's seemed to quiet down after my cam swap. I can't count how many time I've ran it to 6400rpm with no problems.


Man I want to put a bigger stick in this thing on day.

Hmmm never heard of anyone say 6.1 push rods made the tic worse. I've seen posts where the 6.1 push rods have cured the tic. I personally never had the dreaded tic and have used both the stock 5.7 and now 6.1 so can only speak from my own experience.

That what the majority are running. I purchased some longer exhaust pushrods thinking that would stop the louder ticking noise from the cam swap. It did not so I would just stick with all 6.1 stuff, exhaust springs, intake pushrods and exhaust pushrods.

I would give you mine but when you consider boxing up, shipping, and the little gas I am going to spend, it would be more than just buying them new :) If you were local I would just hand you over the 6.1 exhaust pushrods. That would save you about 10 bucks :) when modding all savings count :)
