Tank is down, Sure enough the damn hose blew off inside the pump basket. That won't happen again.

Modified it like Keith's.

Letting the epoxy dry over night. Will stick it back together tomorrow.

Yep been there done that too hahaha

Are you putting a seal on that fitting there where it goes thru the hat or is that where the epoxy is at
Yep got a big flat washer on the bottom side with epoxy filled in. Epoxied the original hole and ran a screw into it with epoxy mostly covering it.

The 90 degree fitting sat too low and I couldn't thread the female fitting onto it. Removed the 90 degree fitting, epoxy and thick washer and reassembled them with the thick washer on top. This gave me just enough clearance to thread the female fitting onto the 90 degree fitting. On initial startup I had a DTC for "high fuel sensor" Put 5 gallons of gas in it and smacked the tank a couple of times mainly from frustration and the DTC went away. Probably from the position the float arm was in when installing the pump back into the tank. I'm now seeing an adjusted 48-50 psi, short trim is excellent. Long trim is still higher than I think it should be, but suspect it will come around in time. WOT going through gears I'm seeing a steady pressure and 12.6 afr. I'm calling this a success.

I ground my lock ring a tiny bit for some added clearance just for that reason
Yep if shifting the washer didn't do it that would have been next. :brows:

Thanks, guys. Dropping the tank isn't fun but with it empty it really isn't that bad. And with the AN fittings I find it much easier then fighting with the OEM quick disconnect fittings. Now waiting on new hood struts and tail lights. Red really needs to be cleaned up.

Drove Red about 50 miles today without an issue. Watching the gauges, the trim is ever so slightly pulling a tad more fuel than adding with the pressure set to 49-50 psi. I might drop the pressure to 48psi and see how it works. Keep in mind I started with pushing 63-68psi before installing the new adjustable fuel system.

Drove to town and smelled gas. @#$%^ Believe it to be the pump assembly mounting ring. Appears the gas slopping around is coming out of the top. Not surprising I popped a emission leak DTC... Its a very small drip and when I stop it stops.

that sucks. but, on the plus side you shouldn't have to siphon out a full tank this time to fix it! :thumb:

Haha It has 3/4 tank... I stopped and bought some more 5 gal tanks. That'll make a total of 10 tanks with only three empty. Looks like my lawn mowers will be using 93 octane this summer....... :)

Cold this morning, finally dragged my lazy butt out to figure what I got leaking. I can actually see the to of the pump assy from looking over the frame from the wheel well. The leak is where I ran out of AN -6 hose fittings when I put it together and jury rig the fuel pump output fitting using a AN fitting for a 1/4 tube and a hose clamp. I'm still thinking that it should have been a good fix, but I can see the sucker dripping. Luckily I have since ordered a couple more fittings and can now install the correct AN hose fitting. just hope I can sneak the hose out of there to make the fix. The way things have been going I'll say NO Chance. LOL

There are times you just have to beat your head against the wall. Nothing really happens except you get soft spots on your head. I was able to pull the hose, it's fairly short as the gas filter is located above the tail housing of the trans. Found the problem to be when I pushed the tubing into the -AN 6 hose I tore the inner liner allowing gas to seep out past the clamp.

Made up a new line a little longer then the original so I had a bit of extra to work with using the proper AN 6 hose fittings,

Put it all back together and made a test run. Came back and I still smell gas, apparently it is still leaking gas at the pump output.

Will check it again tomorrow. wtf.....
