For some reason, my truck wont shift into 4th without the od on at the track. It looks like Bills truck shifts into 4th on his vids. I'm wondering if that's what is causing the problems with at least Bills trans?????

What engine rpm does the trans go from low to high line pressure?

Line pressure is not really related to rpm as much as throttle position and map single (load %)

Does sound like bills truck hits 4 in most vids gotta drop it down and hold third gear for the runs should be right around 6500 thru the traps in third with the slicks maybe tickling 7k for a brief second otherwise those clutches get burned up even thou its brief it does damage quickly

Kick down meaning downshifting from od when passing

I've deff changed my driving habits after reading about the 545

Bill do you not column back to 2nd when making a pass? Tho I'd imagine with your mph at the back end you will have to go to 4th

Your a 2005 the comp knows its not safe so it just holds 3rd I do it every run when you pull it down make sure your above 4600rpm I personally have never done it sooner

The kickdown nono is a lovely deal dodge thougt was smart for a stock truck yes but add a tuner and some other bolt ons and your intue slip power range

Basically the trans has 5 forward gears with the lockup and 2 secondary gears for passing 1-3 can hold a ton of power 4/5 cannot there secondary clutch pack the sister stack is to thin (not enough clutches) and when you go to pass someone on the road and it kicks down 90% of the time it's not to a standard gear it's usually to a prime gear which is 2c/4c/or l/r clutches

2c/4c are part of the main up shift program minus the l/r when it downshifts the low reverse engages with the c packs and it can hold alot of power but the 2c/4c cannot hence the slip and burnt gears

On the up shift you have 2c/4c sistering the main drive inside the trans which holds all the power if that makes any sense

Bill don't get me wrong the first few times you do it you are very nervous but trust the electronics they work without any issues once thru traps just put in drive and stop like normal

With my tcm tune issues I start in 2nd so the PCM will shift 1-2 around the stock 5600 shift then run second up to around 6000 shift to drive then around 46-5000 range pull shifter back to second and run the rest of the 1/4 once thru traps put in drive and stop like normal

Do burnout in 2 pull up neutral rev-clear stage in 2 shift to drive at 6k pull back to 2 around 4600+ finish run put in D

You can actually drop it all the way to 1st and it won't downshift as long as your in 3rd above 3500rpm and under full load.
