I have a 2012 Ram Express that came with the 390 hp 5.7L Hemi. Added/changed are: Mopar cold air intake and electric fan, a BBK 85 mm throttle body, a "moderate" cam from CompCams, Shorty headers, Flowmasters with 3" tubes and a MOPAR 3.92 positraction. It ran very poorly...no tuner company had a tuner that would work on this vehicle.

Recently the tuner companies announced that they "broke the code" for the 2012 Hemi!!! I purchased a Diablo Trinity from a dealear who does performance tuning as well and has a dyno. He was able to get the truck to put down 372 rwhp @ 5450 rpms and 396.8 ft/lb of torque at 4000 rpms. However, the best he could do with 0-60 mph was 8.1 seconds. They gave up and gave me all my money back. I checked with Bully Dog. They can't do this vehicle either. I've asked CompCams what they might be able to do or if they know a solution. I've not yet heard back. They did indicate to me some time ago that the truck computer is different from the car...this may be the problem.

Does anyone know how to get this 465 FWHP Hemi to run?!?!?!?!
From what I have read and heard on other forums its going to take a few years before they get the tunes for the newer hemis down to a t. I did see a video of a 2012 jeep srt8 that was supercharged with 500 odd sum rwhp..... I'll try to find the info of the place that did that maybe they can help you.

Your welcome any time.

Thanks Mark and Janet for deleting the riff-raff.......

Big difference in the meaning of comparable and compatible in your situation

Your comp cam is of no use to you if it can't be tuned on your truck. Whether a 6.4 cam is comparable doesn't matter. What matters is the fact that it will work for you and it is better than the 5.7 cam you took out.

I had to wait a long time before they had the mods I wanted for my '10. Hopefully you won't have to wait as long as I did for compatible tuning for yours.

You could always put a 2010 computer in yours from B&G. Others have done that mod to achieve the mods they want.

Just tryin to help...:)

Janet pls remove my WTF post so as not to confuse anyone to what it is referencing. Didn't know about the "alert: button. thx

Forum is hard to use

I try very hard to reply to everyone who messages me about my postings. However, I've not been able to figure out how to do it and get the results I want. I have had personal computers since the early '80's. I get more and more tired each day of trying to figure out what some software crazy had in mind. These days I use it ONLY if it's user friendly. `sorry to those to whom I've not been able to properly reply.
