Took off the Banks Muffler and Tailpipe today and swapped in a MagnaFlow. Still using all of the pipes from Banks since they are s/s. Much more of a mellow tone at cruising speeds, which is making my lady and my kids happier. You know the old saying, if they're happy.....

what was the problem with the banks? too loud, not enough power or what? did you like it over the magnaflow?

It is a quality built system but it was just too loud at cruising speed. Tried placing a resonator also and it didn't quiet it very much so I decided to swap. My lady and my kids think its better cuz we can now hold a conversation or listen to tunes more easily.

can you still here the magnaflow in the cab when you are cruising and accelerating?

At cruising speeds, totally bearable sound. Much more mellow but you still know you got a Hemi under the hood

. Under accelerating, you can definitely hear it but then it tones down. This is a great all around choice for sound and performance.

thanks i think this is what im going with.

i put the magnaflow muffler on last friday, leving the resonator and all original piping. this morning was my first interstate trip. at 65mph on flat road, there is zero exhaust sound. At 67mph, and audible low rumble. At 70, a clear, low exhaust note. punch it at any time and it wakes up the dead! gas mileage improved to. on the computer, went from 20 to 22 (at 65mph)...haven't had it on for a hundred miles yet so things may change. BUT IT SOUNDED THE BEST ALONG SIDE A CHEVY WHILE BOTH OF US WERE MERGING AND "ACCELERATING"

(my wife still don't know i've got it)

Hey Kitesurfer, thanks for the Info. Do you have the model #. This sounds like what I'm looking for.
