Exhaust Information - Might Help You Decide

Hey guys,
I currently have straight pipes on my 05 1500 single cab short bed hemi. I have had them on there for the past couple of years and I am starting to get tired of it. The exhaust drone is ridiculous and I am looking into getting a cat back system. I don't want anything really loud but I still want good flow and low interior resonance. I was looking at mbrp exhaust, and I have only read good things about it. I was just wondering if y'all had any experience with this exhaust. I don't want it to sound like glass packs, I want a good deep sound without too much pop.

I have the Flowmaster 40 series on mine currently, and love the way it sounds once it's warmed up. The pipes are starting to rust and the hangers are breaking (kit put on before i bought it). I'm getting ready to have a Banks Monster Exhaust performance system put on it with SI-SO and stainless steel. Any thoughts on this system? Good, bad? How's the sound on these?

Hey Kac if you want a low interior exhaust i'd go with a flowmaster 50 series... I had it on my 02 ram with a 5.9 and it wasn't stupid loud compared to the 40 series I had put on it... but that was a different engine. The muffler is a little long and im sure just about anything will be quieter than straight pipes lol

I prefer to route my exhaust OUTSIDE the cab, but hey, to each his own.

The Banks system is outstanding. Excellent flow and great tone (a little bit louder than Borla).

Question to all you hotrodders, Does anyone that has a 4 wheel drive still modify their trucks?
So I see most of the members have the Magnaflows. What model if any is it?
I have a 2010 4x4 and thinking of the Superchip with magnaflows

My Daytona (4x4) came stock with Borla exhaust system. I didn't like the sound of the muffler so I went ahead and changed it to a Cherry Bomb Elite - non glass pack - its an all steel muffler. I hate the sound of Magnaflow and that other piece of crap muffler. Let me put it this way, I'm glad I kept the Borla Chrome tips on my truck - they're Resonators and help quiet the truck, if I didn't have them CHP and Alameda County Sheriff as well as the other local cops would be on me all the time!

Note: When I'm on the freeway onramp and floor it, oh hell yea it turns heads on the street!
