I have driven multiple new darts at work they are nice little fuel efficient cars but IMO they are to small it's a little tight inside but check them out you may like them

It's been about 40 years since I drove one... http://serve.mysmiley.net/animals/animal0024.gif

I drove one before I bought my Jetta. It was a nice little car, with emphasis on little. There was no back seat room with my seat back far enough for my 6' frame. The car itself drove nice. I drove a 1.4L turbo manual. It had good power, but with a good bit of turbo lag. It was slow until about 2500 rpm, then all hell breaks loose to redline. http://hemitruckclub.infopop.cc/grou...on_biggrin.gif Advertised MPG is up to 41 hwy, but if you drive it in a "fun" manner, I don't see getting that. http://hemitruckclub.infopop.cc/grou.../icon_wink.gif Braking was firm, and the handling was pretty crisp. The interior was nice, especially for the price point, the seats were comfortable. The touch screen was nice and big. You could control everything with the touch screen, but there were redundant manual controls if you didn't feel comfortable with that. For the price it's not a bad package. The main reason I didn't get it was because of the size.

My Jetta diesel has a lot bigger back seat and trunk. I can fit in the back seat fairly comfortably with the front seat most of the way back, and we can fit enough luggage in the back for a vacation. Fuel economy was another big selling point with the Jetta. I am seeing better than EPA estimate in mixed driving. (39mpg real world vs. 34 EPA estimate) It's also not unusual to get better than EPA estimate on the highway (48-50mpg hwy vs. 42mpg EPA estimate).

Bottom line- The Dart seems like a good car, it just didn't meet my particular needs.
