I did that today too, but I went to the car wash. I need to wax mine too, what kind of wax do you use?

I use Demon shine foam wash then meguiars shampoo then dry it off and polish with meguiars Quick detailer, but if I'm going to a show and I have time I polish with surf city beyond clay polish then polish with Quick detailer. Being a black truck it takes time to get rid of swirl marks.
What are you using?

I have used many different kinds in the past. What I've been using lately is either Meguiars Mirror Glaze 26 or Mothers California Gold.

I ran a wash cloth over my truck in the rain yesterday...not sure if that counts.
Heard great things about Demon, haven't tried it yet but it's on the list.

My truck sits outside all the time too because it doesn't fit in my garage. I hate the water spots after it rains, so that's a good idea!

For the people that have their trucks sitting outside 24/7 do you use covers? I thought about getting one, but I'm worried about wear marks from the cover.

If it's going to sit a while, there are some good covers out the that won't beat the paint up , but if the cover is on, off a few times a week like my neighbor....the paint will take a beating.
During the summer month I don't cover the rides outside, the only time I cover anything is when I know we are getting snow.

It would be on and off about every other day, so it sounds like it wouldn't be thing for me. My truck is parked on the north side of my garage in the summer, so that helps a little. I was also thinking of a car port like the picture below.
