Flooding

I hope all members are safe!!!! There has been lots of flooding in MO the past couple days. Waynesville got hit the other day and a 4 year old boy has drowned....

In our area they evacuated along the Osage River, which all were getting flooded just from rain and levy's breaking... and to make it worse they opened the flood gates on the dam so they expected the river to rise 3 feet in a hour. At least they were nice and waited for fire departments and law enforcements to get people evacuated before they opened them..... someone posted a picture of a camper floating down the river, and a fire truck got stuck due to the waters....

And we suppose to have more rain the rest of this week..... Last time it was this bad up here was the flood of 1993..

Please be safe and check in if you can!

Unhappy

Take care Lisa and be safe. We could certainly use some of your abundant rain here in South Central Texas. We are at 106*F today and extremely dry.

I would be glad to send you our rain. We were lucky last night didn't get any rain. A lot of the roads are open, I know parts of I 44 are still closed especially down by Waynesville. I will be going near the dam tomorrow and I will get pictures of the Osage River. They are saying this is going to be worse than the flood of 93. So who know, I barely remember that flood.

I am hoping the rain doesn't ruin spirits for the car cruise tomorrow night.

Then we found out a house fire yesterday morning early was a family of 4 who lost everything, they have 2 girls one is Haley's age and one is 2 years older and she knows the family. So she going through her things and seeing if they might want some. I love my little girl to death for thinking of others!!!!

But yes boedacres, yes some hotels and restaurants are did get flooded..... condos and homes as well... but I believe the main roads are open only ones closed are like your back roads or roads with low bridges.
