New break out another thousand

Well going to make the plung and buy a boat no it's not a new boat it is an older bayliner trophy boat 6 passenger max capacity. This boat used the lovely laminated wooden deck instead of the stinger supported deck. I will be cutting the old deck off the boat and repairing any rotted stringer supports down below and adding a new gas tank to the hull the current one has a leak. Will be gelcoating the deck once done and replacing all hoses, wires on the boat I figure for $500 with perfect trailer I'm way ahead of the game. I can fix most all the motor stuff myself and then to have fun. I will post pics as I go for all to see lol. Fiberglass is always fun gotta buy a respirator before I start this don't want to e breathing the fumes or the dust. Still need to locate or make a sun cover and fix a few rail supports up front.

I have found that boats are even bigger money pits than cars. But great fun... Looking forward to see what all you do to the old girl....

Best two days of owning a boat; Day 1: buying it, Day 2: Selling it.

Well Keith. We all know someone in the club that pick up a boat and then removed the boost from his truck.........

11s must not be that important now? Just saying......

Had a boat 350hp jet way to fast for my fat butt.70mph in 4" of water is way scary .now I just have a little 14ft Jon with a 5hp for the pond. someday I want a pontoon that I can sleep on.

Yep been there, just recently sold my 19' Hallett jet with a 450hp 460 Ford. I gave it away and felt relieved to have it gone.

Just looking to put around and do a little fishing not going all out crazy here. I'm glad I will be able to do most all the work saving me a ton of money. Will be an interesting project to say the least.
