i need so learnin'

hey guys,

so I just picked up a complete set of stock heads, coils, valve covers everything for $300 shipped

So I want to build them...big valves port/polished......but need some direction.
I want to keep a stock bottom end,
I plan on a cam as well.......
I don't have any pre conceived hp/tq #s in mind...I want a good sounding streetable truck that will surprise some folks....I know I have come to the right place. thanks in advance guys!!

Hey Kevin, Hook up with Stu.
He might be able to help you get those heads all fixed up.

Port them out and have big valves installed. That will give you
A little more power and leave you room for expanding later on. Stu will now these exact things needed I had mine done at my
Builder.

I'd go with a hellfire or custom grind being that there has not been any impressive qc's that I have seen or heard about running a 268. It's been great in the RC trucks esspecially on nitrous but no one in a qc that was nice. Seems like your along the right track tho with getting the head ported with big valves. There's a few fast QC's in here that can help ya along the way

why is there a big disappointment in the QCs over the RCs with the 268? They are the same truck with a little added weight? I also have a set of 4.56s that will be going in as well.

The KRC210X is an awesome cam. Nathans(RollingThunder) qc truck runs really good with it. [email protected] , [email protected] with some nos. Stock block, SP2 heads, KRC tune and 4.56 gears.

Nathan's 5.7 Hemi engine in his truck would be a great one to copy.

Oh, look at that! His truck is in the 7s in the 1/8. Humm......
