Disc Brake Conversion Kit for 15" wheels

Been looking for a brake rotor/caliper kit to be able to mount my 16" wheels and slicks to my 03 Ram truck. Think this is the kit. Will have to call Summit to confirm this kit will work. Rear drum to disc brake conversion kit SUM-BK1410-X ($699.97). Has anyone used or know of this kit? Any way to build this kit cheaper?

There is a way to do it way cheaper by simply buying diff rotors and a mount mod less than $200 easy still trying to find it. Once I do will post it

His old shop crew did that. No confirmation on what kit he used.

The calipers might be 77-88 gm rear manual emergency brake type?

Ok. Jerry should know this. They did one truck at the shop a few years ago. Also 418 bee runs a kit as well. Let me check into it with him.

The brake kit is a SSBC kit. Comes with mounting hardware, calipers, pads, rotors, brake lines. Runs around $800 on jegs or summit. Quote "What i found was a rear disc brake conversion kit for 96-02 ram, which still allows for the use of a 15" rim. I expected to have to make some modifications to make it fit on the 04 bee, but few were necassary. Now I have a large window for tire selection." Just what I could find so far. I will check into it with Jerry tomorrow.

Thanks [email protected] The SSBC kit is more expensive. There must be a cheaper way to put this kit together with the same basic parts. That's why not many trucks have had this put on. Need this kit to be able to mount these slicks on. Don't want to grind down the oem calipers/rotors.

For now my 17" rims work great until I clear the 11.5 range I will be good with 28 and 4.56 gears.
