Ram Hemi trucks in Minnesota
As you know I'm putting card in the windows of Ram Hemi trucks that I see to recruit more MN members. And in the process I have noticed that around here Chevy/GMC is king with Ford not far behind. Not that I didn't know that before, but I have never looked specifically for Ram trucks before. I would say I see about 10 Chevy's and Fords to every 1 Ram truck. Within Ram trucks Hemis are a little more common then Cummins. Just some interesting observations I've made. I've handed out about 30 cards so far.

That's probably why there aren't many HEMI members up here. Just out of the people I know in construction, I'm the only one with a Ram truck, everyone else has either a Chevy or a Ford for work or play vehicles.

Around here back in the 80's early 90's it use to be for every Dodge I'd see there were 10 fords 7 Chevys ,1/2 a toyota and a broke down Nissan.
over the 28 years I've been here at my job, we have had 12 constant contractors and few that come and go , early days it was 8 fords 3 Chevys and a 1968 D300. About 93ish 7, Fords, 2 Chevys 2 Dodges and a 1968 D300, 1998, 4 Fords ,4 chevys 3 Dodges and a 1968 D300. 2002, it was 3 Fords 3 Chevys a Toyota(1/2 year then Dodge) 4 Dodges and a 1968 D300. Now a days it's split evenly , I do have a guy whose been here since 05 with a Toyota Tundra that has been "the greatest truck ever" 3 engines 2 trans 1 front axle 4 Rear axles all in 300k, it's like talking to a mid 90s 7.3 diesel owner,
"Trucks great,
"So where is it this week"
"At the shop having(insert important drive line part) replaced"
In the last 2 years I can't go to lowes or home despot without a shopping cart hitting a Ram quad cab 1500 with 5 sheets of plywood attached to the roof or it's towing a trailer....it's like NO one knows there make Long beds anymore

The problem with long beds is the truck is too darn long. I can't have a single cab because there isn't any room for tools, so it's got to be a crew cab. Also I've got to have a topper to keep materials dry from rain and snow and 8' toppers are hard to find and they cost an arm & leg. I never strap anything to the roof or tow a trailer, so if I need a lot of building materials I'll just have it delivered to the job site.

I almost traded my ccsb for a cclb a month after I bought it. Would have cost me too much though jumping to a '14 with a lot less miles. Cclb are hard to find.

Would the Ram dealers in your area work with you and allow you to place cards on their new Hemi Rams? Sometimes knowing that an enthusiast group exists for a particular 'mark' can be an asset to a sale!

I could try, but I don't think any salesman would be interested in doing that (nothing in it for them), there are only 2 of RAM dealerships near me, but you gave me the idea of going to auto parts stores and there is a RADCO truck accessory store near me that I go to that would be perfect. Thanks for the idea!!
