Hemi specialists in Arizona?

Hey all. I'm moving to Tucson in a couple weeks and am wondering if there are any shops that specialize in hemis out there. Either around Tucson or Phoenix areas.

Also wondering what to expect for emissions testing or restrictions on building the engine/mods that are specific to Arizona.

And I'll be looking for a good body/paint shop in Tucson so if anyone has recommendations, please let me know.

Thanks!

I can hook you up with an excellent performance shop in Tucson even though they don't specialize in Hemis. As for paint and body, are you looking for repair or customization? I can help with that for you too, either way.

Just to let you know, I also belong to the Tucson Mopar Club, and will be going to their meet tomorrow at 1600 at Larry H Miller Dodge/Ram, and they will also be holding a car show on October 29th in case you're able to make either one. If you do make it to either one, just look for my Gila Monster pictured below and you'll find me.

If that doesn't work, PM me once you're settled and maybe we can get together for a cup of coffee.

I'm not moving until the 18th so can't make the meet tomorrow but can make the car show on the 29th.

Mainly looking for repair on the body work and paint. Keeping it the original color, fixing some clear coat peel on the roof and some minor body work and getting the hood, grill and bumper painted. Once that is done I'll want to find a shop that does clear vinyl paint protection and ceramic coating. I've driven thru enough sand storms that I want to make sure the new paint is well protected this time.

The rental I found is in an HOA that won't allow me to work on the truck. I hate HOAs but it seems like they are somewhat difficult to avoid in Tucson. Only have to deal with it for a year tho. Having access to a good performance oriented shop will help in the meantime. I'll either find a new rental that's not in an HOA or will be buying a house after my lease is up at this first place.

I appreciate the help, I'll let you know once I'm in town and settled!

I didn't make it to the meet today. My Shaker was in an accident two weeks ago and is still in the shop, so I'm all bummed out over that. My Moose is a work truck, and even though it is modded, it looks it being that it's 14 years old. The next show I plan to go to will be at Larry H Miller Dodge/Ram, which I think is on December 1st.

I've been so busy getting sh!t done around the house and lots of running around that I forgot about the shows. Bummer about the Shaker, hopefully it wasn't too bad?

I was at the car show at Larry H Miller Dodge yesterday. I figured anyone from here would have recognized my Shaker and introduced themselves, but that didn't happen. The Tucson Mopar Club meets on the first Saturday of every other month at LHM, the next one will be on February 2nd.

There are usually about 75 to 100 cars at each meet, and one of the gems yesterday was a cherry Little Red Truck. The photo below is from a year ago.
