My emissions test/registration is due today. I tested last weekend and got a OBD not ready status so I failed. Took it back in after putting 300 miles on it and it failed again ( mileage was mixed city/hwy).

Catalyst - not ready
Evap System - not ready
Component - ready
O2 sensor - not ready
Egr - not ready
Heated O2 - ready
Misfire - ready
fuel system - ready

I'm at a loss here, what the heck is left that I need to do? Also is there a pass or something I need to get to keep driving it? One of the ADEQ techs said there was a 30 day pass and I can't find it anywhere. DMV site says I have 30 days without a pass to get it fixed since I already ran it through emissions testing and it failed..... is that correct?

you have 30 days,
if you want to take it to a shop i've got one that will get it fixed and they will take it over for you. there at 4th street and broadway in phx. and the emissions testing is at 16th and the river bottom so they don't have to drive it that far. if you want the info let me know. i use these guys myself, we send all of our warranty work to the and we us them for all our company truck. there good guys to work with.

Will they do the obd readiness monitors though? Everyone has said it needs a drive cycle, no one knows what the dodge drive cycle is though. I'm going to check the battery, make sure its not dieing on me or losing enough of a charge that its losing the info as well as updating the tune.

The drive cycle is sometimes a long process. It can be key strokes and/or miles between certian speeds you just don't know.

Every tech I've talked to has said if it was a ford or Chevy they could give me a step by step procedure but dodge/jeep/Chrysler do not have anything or any details.

I have a friend who is an emissions expert, but he lives in San Diego. You'd have to take it to him if you wanted his help, and he isn't cheap, but he always does the job right...

Before you ask, he doesn't do SWAG's, because emission systems are too complex. That's why fly-by-night emission places just throw new cats on to fix things. Gets the vehicle to pass, but the new cats burn up in a couple of months leaving the problem for the next time...
