Seatbelt locked

So my passenger side rear seatbelt is locked. I pulled the enture retractor assembly out of the truck and tried feeding in more belt to see if I could get it to unlock but no dice. The belt is now all the way in and stuck that way. I know some dodges had an electronic locking system for crash safety but mine does not have anything electrical going to it. Any advice or do I just need to replace it? Thanks all!

So after taking the side cover off the retractor, I see there is a ball bearing mechanism that causes the belt to lock up when jarred. It lifts an arm of sorts. Right now, that arm gets stuck in the up position. The ball bearing looks like it is supposed to be free floating in there but I am not sure what keeps that little arm down when it is supposed to be. I have some redneck ideas how to fix it but am worried about doing that due to safety. Thoughts?

Try tapping it so the ball rolls the opposite direction sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't

If not any ideas you try are on you don't get me wrong we like to help but it is a safety device tampering with it to much may disable something just don't go crazy on it

Yeah with the cover off I can get it to work and the ball moves fine but with the cover on, no matter how much I tap on it or which way hold it, the lever pushes back up and locks it in place. It seems like the lever is supposed to have some weight on it to keep it down unless pushed up from the ball bearing when jarred.

Very odd but it randomly started working again. I am not sure if cleaning it with the cover off is what did the trick but it's working again. Thanks for the advice anyway!
