Seat cushion foam.

Hi all,

I was wondering if there was a replacement for the seat cushion foam? My drivers side seat fabric and foam (where the seat lever is) has completely worn away down to the metal bracket, from me getting in and out of the truck. Can I replace that piece of foam or do I need a new seat, or should I just cover it with seat covers and forget about it? Thanks.

You can for sure get just a new lower pad and cover for the seat but it may be more cost effective to just buy a whole new seat from a junk yard or older truck...

Yeah, that is what I was thinking, but I'd like to see if there's anything else that can be done first. Actually thinking of taking it to an upholsterer and see if they can cut and glue in a new piece of foam then cover with seat covers, maybe...I don't know?

I'd highly doubt that they'd do that but you never know. I'm just trying to give a suggestion based off the cost side

An upholster should be able to do whatever you want them to do.

A quality custom shop can easily beat anything the factory does for your interior .

I have seen the seat cushion on Amazon. I don't remember the price, though. Sorry.

Ma Mopar charges an pretty penny for those things. I would check with an upholsterer.

You can also find complete seats on ebay. When I first bought my truck in 04 I bought a SLT Laramie leather seat that was new out of a 04. Even sold my original take out seat and got a little money back.....
