Easy, put it on. LoL... I don't know really. I have an '03, and it just leaves the seatbelt light on when not used.

Ok, I think I misunderstood your first post. I couldn't say why the light is staying on then....

The light stays on because the circuit isn't complete. It should tell in your owners manual how to disable it. Hook the wires back and read your manual. I'm not sure how you do it on the 06's, but you can turn the light and bell off without harming your truck..

06' manual tells how to disable the audible, but it does not disable the dash light….
Disclaimer: *I by NO means endorse, or even infer that I recommend, have, or would ever do this.*
Now that the legal chit is out of the way, Rancher is correct, sensor/light is waiting on a normally closed (short between two wires) to turn the dash light off, unplugging the sensor will not help. You are going to need to locate the two wires, going up the seatbelt (mounted under seat) chase. Easiest to access from back seat, drivers side, closest to center consol. Once the two wires are found, do what you go to do to short them together…..NO more light.

BTW...I think when you disable it, it also turns out the light. At least it did on mine! This message has been edited. Last edited by: "RANCHER", document.write(''+ myTimeZone('Tue, 02 Oct 2007 07:26:31 GMT-0700', '02 October 2007 10:26 AM')+''); 02 October 2007 10:26 AM

Quite a few years ago, I had a warning light on one of my cars that just wouldn't go away....I found that a small piece of electrical tape took care of it very nicely (tape over top of the light)!
