Protecting leather interior

This is the first truck I've had with leather interior. I know what the affects are of climbing in and out of my previous trucks with cloth seats. One thing that concerns me a little is the console arm rest and how to protect the leather there. I know oil from your skin can make the leather really look bad over a period of time. So far I've only been using a small towel to rest the right arm on.

What are you guys using or are you not concerned about it?

You need to clean, condition and seal leather. You can buy a Leather cleaning kit on line. You can do this as needed, just look at the appearance. The leather in these trucks are pretty durable. I own company that also does upholstery, we do the same thing for Leather couches. No easy way, have to do it by hand.

Maybe pullya will come along and respond to this thread. His wife makes some nice ones. That's where we got ours. Unfortunately, I don't have picture posting skills to post what it looks like.

I don't have picture posting skills either . As Mrs. Studmuffin stated above; Tx. HTC pullya's wife does make some nice ones .

I can give you the information on the company that made mine some time ago:
It was custom tailor made in the summer of 2007 to fit the console lid of my 2005 and consists of interior color matching leather, sheepskin and custom logo embroidery (MOPAR, HEMI, DODGE). It was $80.00 shipped to me.

'IF' they are still in business here is the contact information:

Superlamb Auto Accessories
8026 Miramar Rd.
San Diego, CA 92126
www.superlambauto.com
1-800-821-4737

Hope you find something that meets your need .

Thanks for the information. I called them and the lady I spoke to said they don't make anything out of real leather and the items that are made out of simulated leather they have made somewhere else.

I don't mind paying a decent price for a nice cover but it would be difficult to buy something sight unseen. They have no pictures of late model RAM trucks with console lid covers on them.

I guess my next choice is Pullya's wife.

Guess they don't do real leather anymore - mine was a 'one off' design that they did get outside help on doing; anyway do check with Pullya's wife because they are nice and she makes them for the late model Ram Generation 4.
