Powder coating costs?

I have four wheels I want to powder coat. I've emailed two shops in my area for price and turn around times. But no ones has gotten back yet. What prices have you guys seen?
Thanks,

That would be just short of $40 a rim. I haven't dealt with this before so really don't know if that's the going price or not.
Thanks,

I bet your looking at $75-100 per wheel.
I had my front sway bar done for $100, valve covers $100 & smaller engine parts $45.

I bought a powder coating kit from eastwood! I then bought a old beat up oven for $50! Now I do all of my own powder coating!!!I think I spent about $300 for everything. I have been using it for about 4 years now!! I have done my valve covers, timing covers,AC brackets, even throttle bodies and intake manifolds! If it will fit in the oven I can do it! you should give it a thought! Buy your own stuff and do your own powder coating!!!

It all depends on the color, and the condition of the rims. Most of the time the rims need to be stripped down to bare metal so the powder has something to stick to. If it was a simple black, it would be around 50.00 a wheel. If you wanted candy apple red with a gold peral, then you would be looking at around 200.00 per wheel. Try to find a color they have in house. It's a lot cheaper then having to pay for a full box of a custom color. You would get a better response by taking one of the rims to the shop and showing them what it looks like. You'd get a much better rate then over the phone too.

They finally got back with a quote of $50 a wheel if it's already prepared. $150 to sand blast the four wheels. So Basically $350 to do the four wheels. Two day turn around. I went ahead and mounted them the way they are. If the wheels grow on me maybe I'll powder coat them later.
