Paint Or Vinyl Wrap

I have a friend that will be repairing some the rust on my 04 1500 and I'm debating just spending my winter painting it. However, it has been suggested that wrapping is cheaper and easier if I wanted to make a change down the road. Just curious on your opinions and/or pics if any of you guys have a wrapped truck.

Thumbs up

I'm guessing to get the look and quality you would want it would be high dollars either way... .

All I plan on doing is a basic gunmetal grey or something of that nature nothing too fancy. Wrap itself is fairly cheap I guess it would just depend on the person doing the labor. I was told I'd be looking at around 6000 to paint it and its a bit step. However I think it would last a lot longer than wrap. I am going to call a place back home and price it but I was just looking to see if anyone had it done and liked it.

I spoke with a guy a couple years ago who had a wrapped car. He liked it, but he said it costed $2,200 which turned me off.

I gave a guy a call and he said $2,500 with a life expectancy of 5 years depending on exposure to the elements. Unfortunately right now my truck is parked outside all year round because my room mates garage is full. The life expectancy doesn't bother me so much cause I'd have a long time to save up for it and who knows, maybe in 5 years I want to change to match the plum crazy purple challenger I own!
