I would run it they the door seal on the bottom of the door of possible so water cannot get past the seal in heavy rain. With the XM radios I normally run it down and behind the seal on the lowest portion of the door.

Don't use the third light they leak bad enough. Run the door seal to the lowest point then go in so water cant follow the cable. Be careful with that magnet mount its going to scratch the crap out of your truck. (been there done that) I seen a guy go into a drive through and there low clearance sign knocked it off and it swung down and busted his side window. I have also seen it just slide them across the roof. I wish someone would make a good CB mount for our trucks

Years ago during the CB craze I vaguely recall some manufacturer making a replacement antenna that mounted into the factory mounting position and it covered CB (&SSB) 1thru40, AM & FM they even made a high dollar one that could handle a 500 watt linear amp (but that's a different story) - if you use one of these antennas or whatever you choose make certain your SWR is very low 1:1 especially if you use additional 'boost' .
