The aftermarket kits I've seen, you have to pull the upolstery up off the seat cusion, put the heating element down, then re-install the seat cover.

That is true with the Mopar unit also Brett. You would have to remove your seat covers to install them, but your wiring harness should already be there. My 03 has a harness there for it, just doesn't have the heated seats - yet....
