Deep Scratch

Does anyone know how I can get rid of this deep scratch in my paint?

I would call one of those mobile scratch removal folks. You sometimes see them in parking lots doing repairs. I spotted one at walmart working on a cherry red camaro that had a really nasty run in with a shopping cart. When I came out he was just finishing and the job was outstanding. I talked with him a little and found out he does a lot of work at used car lots. Got a card off of him and told him I'd give him a call when I got my next scratch. Good luck..

Never heard of them. Here in Canada we have the people that fix chips in the windshields in the parking lots of malls but I haven't seen the ones that fix scratches. I will have to look in the Yellow Pages I guess. Hopefully its not too expensive! It ticks me off...just had the whole truck painted because of the hail damage now I have a big scratch!

Totally my fault. I was cleaning my truck in the garage and pushed the door open and it hit a metal hanger on the wall. Needless to say the hanger is now in the garbage!

it's the same deal, might call a used car place, insurance company or even a service garage. I think folks might be surprised how often a small scratch or dent is fixed when they have their cars worked on at different places. I once dropped my wife's Eclipse off for a minor repair and later found overspray in a fender well that had nothing to do with what was fixed. Went back and got blank stares from everyone. Finally they fessed up that it got bumped into and they fixed the fender. Trust no one! I figured they were out test driving (sic).

Wow...thats crazy. Maybe I will take it back to the place where they fixed my truck. They made $14,000 off my truck....maybe they can give me a deal to fix the scratch.

I doubt it can be corrected. I think it will have to be spot painted. Maybe they might have some of the paint left from when the painted your truck.

I bought a tube of touch up paint when I got the truck...I guess that is what I will have to do as the scratch is pretty deep.
