Custom caliper covers

Thinking about having some fabricated. Looking for ways to mount them...would the caliper mounting bolts be OK? They'd only be 16 gauge steel...so 0.0598 in. thick. Plus paint. Would put tension screws to meet the brake pad bracket. Thoughts? Too much work...just paint the calipers?

Want to do hemi orange...but can only find engine enamel. Was going to do 2 coats of engine primer, 2-3 coats of engine enamel, and 2 coats of clear, after cleaned of course. Are is that too much? Just don't want to mess it up so it looks awkward.

Can't help you there. I used red brake caliper paint.

Somebody out there must know how to get your color,

Good luck

I use regular Duplicolor for the color and Duplicolor engine paint for the clear. Always comes out looking good and holds good.

Plus, it ain't a good idea to block the heat dissipation. I painted mine, as well.
