connecting blaupunkt navigation

I'm want to connect my blaupunkt navigation.
for that i need a speed signal, I have the manual and found out the speedometer in the instrument cluster gets the vehicle speed from the pci circuit so i can't use that.
for as far I can find I must connect it to the PCM module connection 32 ( output speed sensor, the wire that has T14 in it).

wiring diagram 8W-31-5.

am i right with this?
is there somebody who did this before?
is there an easier way to get a speed signal?

I will look too. I thought the new Nav systems used the PCM-Bus module to get the speed signal. You might need a converter inbetween the connector pin 32, if the t14 cant send the signal for the Blaupunkt to understand. I will check into it.

Dan your right the new nav systems use the pcm-bus.
I see it like this, the sensor gives the pcm module a simple puls ( on of )on connection 32. The module changes that in to computer language and sends it through the pci circuit thats connected to the inst.cluster, the factory nav system etc.
So i think i can use the connection 32 that should be understandeble for the blaupunkt nav system, i don't think i wil need a converter using this connection.
It would be nice to know for sure if i'm right.
Í didn't had the time to bild the system in yet but when i do and it works i'll let you know.

( sry its not easy to explane it in technical englisch )

its a blaupunkt RNS 150....but i don't think its being sold in the US.
I do know all the blaupunkt models need the same puls, I bild them in semi's myself and i use the same puls for pioneer, becker, jvc, etc.
thanks for looking in to it but don't make to much work of it, i'l try it soon.

Dan i've got the nav system working...the connection 32 didn't work, the puls goes to 0 every time the gearbox shifts...I used a signal from the ABS, its connector C1 on the abs controler under the hood...pin 2 DG/WT...you can find it in the manual on page 8w-35-2 and 8w-80-52...I'm sure you can use it for other brands aftermarket nav systems also and you don't need a converter...
I hope this wil help other members that want to build in a nav system.
