Billet Gas Door Replacement - Fad?

I love a lot of the billet interior and engine touches, but I am seeing less and less gas door replacements.
Is this a fad that will soon go the way of bi-directional wheels?
Thinking about one for my silver metalic 05.

I've got one on my silver truck and think it looks pretty good.

Funny you should mention this J'ville... I just took off my billet cover and went back to stock. Had it on for almost three years... I guess I'm looking for a cleaner, smoother appearance now.

I just put mine on, but it is painted to match the truck. Most people dont even realize that it is there. Later when i get my rollpan and bumper painted I am going to have themn repaint the cap to because i think it might be a shade or two off from the truck

I just removed mine. I have a Patriot Blue Ram.

Though I think they look great on Silver's and White's.
