Anybody use Powerwashers

Is there anybody out there that uses a powerwasher to clean Their Truck ? If so what kind do you use, gas or electric ? I would like to shorten the time it takes to wash my truck but not at the expense of screwing up the paint job. Thanks for any input.

I use a pressure washer for cleaning all my vehicles. I use a smaller gas one. The biggest of the "house" pressure washers. Just be careful and don't get to close. Use a wide spray pattern. Even at 5+ feet away it is still stronger than any hose pressure at my house. It definitely makes the job a lot easier and faster. Gets more dirt off too.

yeah what he said.
i used to use a $99 cheapy that had multiple tips. when i would wash the buggy and jeep after a trip to the woods. I used a tip that spun the water coming out and i could remove paint very easy and cut up the roll bar padding pretty easy also. but i needed the 'extra' to get the mud/clay off of them.
i use the press washers at the local car wash only in the winter to clean her truck.

hey you have some pics posted of your truck. can't tell what or how those flames? look?

The pressure washers we use at work are Honda powered. They work great. A good quality pressure washer will set you back about $600 IMO. I'm not buying the lower end stuff anymore, I've had to many problems lately.

Don't make the mistake I did, buy the largest one ya can afford. Ya can always turn the power down when ya need to. Doing large jobs, like washing a house, you'll be glad ya got a powerfully one!

Basically thats what I was going for. I should have said that. Money limited me. Rather mod the Dodge.

No, never! Especially on your ride...I hand wash mine, even before I go to a car show. Once I get there, I might run it through a car wash just to rinse the bugs and road grime off...
