Picked up a 2014 bighorn today. Got some questions

So I picked up a 2014 bighorn 2500 4x4 crew cab 6.4 today 78k miles. It's pretty fancy but I think I got a pretty good deal at 22k. I'm pretty happy with the 16.1 mpg that I'm getting at the moment considering I've heard a lot of people talking about getting 10-12 but I'm still a little leary about the whole MDS system. I've heard nightmares of lifters collapsing. Is there anything I should keep an eye out for? Typical issues?

Nice find. Diablo Tuner can turn MDS off for you.

Ok. Is it a problem? Should I do that?

Most tuners like Diablo and SuperChips can deactivate the MDS system. I deactivated MDS with my SuperChips CORTEX Tuner on my 07' back in 2015, truck is still going great, 17.2 mpgs @ 75 mph, cruise control set, Quad Cab 1500, rwd, 5.7L Hemi.

That's really good. I never got over 14.5 with my 5.7

Nice looking Bighorn!

With our 6.4, in 50K miles, no lifter issues, and hopefully none in the future! (Gotta find some wood to knock on...)

As for mileage, we get 15-18 unloaded, and 9-11 towing our 5th wheel.

Cheers!
