Need suggestions

Hey guys I am looking to start some minor mods on the truck and was wondering what is the current muffler of choice these days. Also what other mods are you guys doing to gain a little more fuel economy and horses. I am planning on a CAI soon also.

I am using the flowmaster American thunder cat back with three half inch single in 2 1/2 inch dual out. It gives a nice muscle car rumble with a throaty WOT. I know that this is pretty standard. You can get them where they exit out the rear under the bumper or right after the rear wheels on both sides. They also make a kit where they exit out the passenger side before the rear wheels. Cherry bomb also makes a cat back KIT. I have not heard this one but I've always been partial to the cherry bomb glass-back mufflers. I know several companies make kits such as Biola, Gipson, thrush. That's if you going to do a cat back. You have to be careful changing anything before the cats because of the factory warranty. After the warranty runs out you can change anything you want I would just be concerned about the computer stuff.

As far as gaining horsepower and fuel economy the CAI is a good start I would also think about a computer programmer. At least that's where I am going to start.

Is anyone using the fire wire anymore? I think that is what it is called, the wire that tells the computer that the air intake is actually colder then it is.

I went with a muffler delete on my '14, just have the resonators. Surprisingly mellow while cruising (without MDS) and idle. Shouts at the devil during hard acceleration.

Ok so the power wire is out. Any luck with throttle body spacers?
