iv noticed the eco light come on when mds is active, iv found that with a gentle touch to the pedal i can keep the truck in mds about 75% of the time while around town, excluding the first part of the takeoff from a light. just curious as to who actually pays attention to this.

Don't think my Express comes with an Eco light, or at least not that I've seen. I claim ignorance is bliss and don't even calculate my mileage anymore. If I was that concerned I would have bought a civic

I've noticed that you can be in ECO but still on all 8 cylinders as long as your MPG's are above the current average.

I don't have the ECO LIGHT as I have an '09 Ram HEMI, but I try to keep mine in Fuel Saver mode as often as possible.

I have installed the Triple Dog Watch Dog on my Ram and it allows me to monitor my current MPG. And for example at 55 MPH, with all 8 firing it can be at 17 mpg and when the Fuel Saver (4-Cylinder Mode) kicks in it will be around 19 MPG.

So to answer your initial question. Yes I pay attention to my Fuel Saver as much as I can!!!!

I watch it constantly. It has made me a much more carefull driver when it comes to unnecessary speed and acceleration. My 300C Hemi does not have it and I still drive it way too aggressively.....but then that's why I have it

I watch mine quite a bit too and think it has helped me drive more economically, but I still do enjoy the power of the Hemi just don't do as much playing as I used to.
