Looking to Buy, 8 speed vs 6 speed???

Hey everyone,

I am new to the forums.

I am currently looking at 2013 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn Hemi 5.7L but I can't decide between the 6 speed or 8 speed.

Any feedback will help me out and hopefully I will be a proud new owner very soon.

Thanks,

Trey

I've got the 8 speed in my '13...I actually waited several months extra just so I could factory order it with the 8. I'm so glad that I did...it's amazing. Incredibly smooth. Some might point out that it's new, however, it's been used in other vehicles for several years, just new to the Ram. The rotary dial shifter, although quite different, was very easy to adapt to and many people have said the same. I would highly recommend it.

Have the 8 and have no issues. MPG is great for a truck this size!

I love my 8 speed! I was a little skeptical at first until I took one for a test drive. Love the way it shifts! And as for power...I can spin my tires no problem!
