Comparing fuel mileage between the 2007 SLT Hemi 4x4 QC with 3:92 gears to the 10 Laramie Hemi 4x4 QC with 3:55 ratio. Same 20" Good Year factory tires. Same usage as a wholesale territory manager for farm equipment. Occasional towing but same usage by myself on both trucks, including remote start winter warmups and comparable idle times. The 2007 averaged 16.72 imp mpg over 140,000 kms and the 2010 18.49 imp mpg over 51000 kms. While not a substantial difference it is more than a 10% increase in economy. I'm happy! More power, less fuel!

Have you noticed any performance drop with the 3.55's or any difference in towing capacity vs the '07?

Either way, that's still pretty darn good for a QC!

With the extra power of the newer hemi, I really didn't notice any big difference towing. Remember these are Imperial (BIG) gallons. Either way I'm still happy. The local Ford dealer is really trying to sell me an Ecoboost but I can't see that happening. Would like a 2011 Ram but trade diff is too much. Looks like I'll have to run this one for a couple more years.

I only have just over 2,000 miles on my 2011. But my mileage is already a little bit better than on my old truck. I feel when my new truck gets some more miles on it that the mileage will improve even more.

That's the big reason why I just traded my 05 in for an 11, very happy with my decision
