I just traded up from my 2004 reg cab rwd hemi truck to a 2011 Quad cab 4wd with a hemi. My last truck had 3.92 with limited slip and my new one has 3.55 with no limited slip. What would be the best option for running maybe 4.10's or 4.56's with limited slip or a locker. Any opinions? Also, do I need to swap gears on both differentials? Any suggestions on either a locker or limited slip and the benefits and costs of each one. Also, which ones will fit 2011?

Thanks!! It's awesome! The biggest major changes come from the ride and the interior quality. The interior quality is out of this world and better than pretty much any vehicle I've owned in the past and light years ahead of any Dodge I've owned in the past. I love it! Now to start digging into it and making some changes here and there! I mean, what else are you supposed to do with a brand new truck??!

As for the above... Anything inside the driveline is the same that was in the last one's. So if you see something that you like a locker it will fit. I would stay with 3.92 since you can get them from another one but you can go to 4.10 very easy too.

Do both differentials (front and rear) have to be swapped or just the rear? Would you recommend a locker or a limited slip? Which is going to be the most cost effective and user friendly for day to day driving.

Both diffs have to be changed for that the gears match. It depends on what you are going to be doing. I have the limited slip in mine and it does everything that I want it to do. You have ESP and I do not so you might get more out of a limited slip and it would be the most cost effective!!
