12 Second N/A 4th Gen Build

Hey guys, its been a while since I have posted on HTC. Many of you are familiar with this build from other forums, but a friend of mine told me to post it here as well. As few months ago I bought a 2011 Ram 1500 RC/SB 2WD. I slapped on all the boltons, 4.10 gears, and a 3400 stall converter, and took it to the track. I have had this out to the track 5 times now, and last Friday ran a new best of 12.49 @ 106.13MPH. I have since added QA1 front drag shocks, and will be installing 4.56's on Tuesday. I'm hoping to squeeze out a 12.3999 before pulling the motor and shooting for 10's. Anyways, here are a few pics and video of the truck...

I've only had this truck at the track 5 times now, so I'm still learning how to drive it and what rpm to shift at. I made my 3-4 shift at 6800 on the 12.50 pass, and at only 6000 on the 12.49 pass. We were also fighting a 12-15mph headwind that night, so it could have been a stronger gust or 2 that slowed me down a bit on the big end of the track. If you look at the MPH, I did not even pick up 20mph from the 1/8th to the 1/4. Every other night at the track in this truck, I have gained 20-21mph between the 1/8th and the 1/4.

I now have a new tune with 6500rpm shifts on the 1-2, and 2-3, and I will hold that 3-4 shift out longer to about 6800 as well. Between the shift changes, gears, and drag shocks, I'd like to think that I can pull off that 12.39 pass.

Thanks guys.

I'm going to try like hell to squeeze a 1.59 60' time out of this thing N/A before the new motor goes in. That 1.64 was with the 4.10's, so I'm hoping the 4.56's will help me shave a few more hundredths off that time. Its amazing how fast these 4th gens are capable of running with so few mods.

I call that the "hot dog wrapper mod". The 1000' is out of sync big, but the rest of the slip is right on and the reason I like to see a back up pass.
